As aAs art. 378000 with built-in weighing system with an accuracy of 50 g.
The extremely strong and versatile, ICU bed, with its 250 kg maximum safe working load, is capable of accommodating even heavy-weight/obese patients. The mattress platform rests on two cylindrical columns on a lower frame equipped with four swivel twin-wheel casters, central locking, one of which directional. This type of structure gives the whole bed an easy style, allowing for ease of manoeuvrability and cleaning. The variable height, compact laminate mattress platform is subdivided into 4 sections, with 3 articulations. The electrically operated, synchronized movements are controlled by specific software ensuring postural ergonomics and eliminating the risk of injury to the patient. The wide retaining siderails are subdivided into four sections, two on each side, that can be easily lowered with a dampened descent: this system has been designed to facilitate and expedite both routine and emergency nursing activities, and to avoid any hindrance to patient's catheters and tubes. When elevating the backrest, the kneebreak/legrest side rails sync shift towards the head end (an innovative, patented movement) while keeping a safe distance from the head/backrest side rails, thus providing the patient with a constantly high level of protection (crushing prevention). The space available between the mattress platform and the top of the side rails accommodates most of the pressure relieving air mattresses available on the market, while keeping on meeting the safety standards implemented by CEI EN 60601-2-38 European norm ("the height of the side rail top from the mattress platform should be ≥220 mm") The head and foot ends can be quickly removed by pulling them up. Based on a patented system, the head end has been designed not only to be removed but also to be pulled down by rotating its two sections sideways until they are no longer a hindrance when undertaking resuscitation and intubation. The special design of the head end, when in its up position, offers an ergonomically suitable grip that enhances the mobility of the bed during transport. The radio-translucence extending over the whole backrest and fixed section permits fluoroscopic tests and complex procedures such as the guided introduction of catheters. The two-columns bed frame and the total "clearance" in its central part allow C-arm diagnostic equipment to be used on either side. ICU bed is equipped with two touch button handsets to control all electrically operated functions and movements. Both handsets can be conveniently placed on the side rails, or the head/foot end. The operator's handset, located at the foot end of the bed, out of patient access, includes the controls of both bed articulation and pre-set configurations as well as the automatic lock mode: the handset turns to stand-by mode when not in use for 30 seconds and is activated again by pressing the ON-button for 3 seconds. The patient handset only includes the controls of the very basic movements of the bed (backrest, kneebreak, and legrest inclination, backrest/kneebreak auto-contour setting, height adjustment),and all its functions, even individual functions, can be locked out by the relevant controls on the operator's handset. Ergonometric studies have shown that wired handsets prevent strain on the operator's back, as no bending is needed to operate the bed from any of its sides. The angle indicator facilitates the movement of the backrest section assuring accurate therapeutic positioning. The double translation of the backrest and kneebreak bases relieves undue pressure on the patient's abdomen when the head section is elevated, prevents the patient from sliding down in the bed (thus minimizing patient repositioning) and pressure ulcers in the sacral region (as a result of the changed pressure in the hip zone). Kneebreak elevation can be independent from or simultaneous with backrest elevation. To prevent patients from gravitating toward the foot of the bed and assure a more comfortable and physiologic position, ICU bed is equipped with an auto-contour feature, which permits the simultaneous elevation of backrest and kneebreak. The autocontour control is available on both handsets.Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg positioning can be selected by pressing the relevant buttons on the operator's handset. An emergency Trendelenburg button is also available for use when all sections of the bed should be quickly flattened and tilted to more easily administer CPR procedure. The diverse positions in which ICU bed can be articulated also allow the patient to be positioned with aligned heart and legs. The legrest can be lowered up to 55° and raised to relieve patient's legs or prevent pressure sores on the heels. ICU bed is equipped with a one-button chair positioning mechanism-located on the operator's handset-which smoothly articulates the bed into the cardiac chair position (backrest at 75°, backrest/kneebreak angle: 92°, and kneebreak/legrest angle:55°). This "seated" posture helps operators prevent pulmonary complications, while providing patients with a more physiological position and expediting their respiratory and motor recovery, and results in an improved psychological condition of both patients and relatives. By activating two special controls on the operator's handset, the cardiac chair position can be turned into a therapy chair position in which the backrest is raised up to 84° (backrest/ kneebreak angle: 90°, kneebreak/legrest angle: 45°). This position greatly enhances patient respiratory efficiency, and facilitates patient access and egress. A red pedal to be used in case of a CPR procedure is available on both sides of the bed. By pressing the pedal the backrest is quickly lowered with a dampened descent, the bed frame is brought to its minimum height and the kneebreak and leg sections are flattened. By lifting the pedal the bed is automatically placed into an emergency Trendelenburg position. The hands-free emergency release mechanism, activated by simply pressing or lifting the red pedal, dramatically reduces the time required to assist the patient in an emergency. The standard equipment of bed system includes an auxiliary battery to operate the bed when power is unavailable. The battery charge can be checked by pressing a specific sequence of keys on the operator's handset. An acoustic alarm goes on when the battery is low. Sack and/or accessory holders are included in the standard equipment. They are located on both sides of the intermediate frame, just below the mattress platform. The standard equipment of system also features a built-in 180-mm bed lengthener to accommodate patients taller than 2 meters. ICU bed can be optionally equipped with a built-in weighing system complying with 517/92 standard, which assures an accuracy of max 50 g of patient weight. For patient and operator's safety, bed system is equipped with an alarm that goes on when the bed is connected to the mains with unlocked wheels; the alarm is meant to prevent accidental injury to patients and operators, and to preserve the integrity of the power cable. The use of a monitor/journal tray, traction equipment or IV poles in the bed end section automatically locks all movements of the leg rest. This safety system prevents the bed and its accessories from being damaged, and patients from being involuntarily injured. With an eye to patient safety, also a red LED is made available on the operator's handset; it illuminates when the bed is at minimum height with flattened platform. The LED can be left on when leaving the room to be sure the bed is in its lowest position, which reduces the risk of injury from a patient fall. A nightlight is located under the base of ICU bed. It can be switched on or off by pressing the relevant button on the operator's handset. Mattress platform made of compact laminate, 3 articulations 4 sections, with a wide-spanning, radio translucent surface, covering both chest and abdomen, supported by two electrically operated variable-height columns, with safe working load of 250 kg. Compatible with any type of mattresses (pressure relieving, foam, air, turning, etc.). Backrest electrically adjustable, angle range 0°-70°. Backrest with automatic 120-mm translation when raised, to prevent compression of patient abdomen - or of any related draining devices and respiratory complications due to diaphragm lifting. Knee break electrically adjustable, angle range 0°-35°. Knee break with automatic 45-mm translation when raised, relieving pressure in the sacral region. Backrest and knee break with one-button auto-contour feature, helping keep the patient from sliding to the foot end of the bed and assure proper circulation. Calf rest electrically adjustable, angle range 0°-55°. Leg rest with automatic positioning control to prevent an unnatural articulation of the patient's knee. Safety system locking out knee break and leg rest movements when monitor shelf, traction equipment, poles, etc slot into the sockets at the foot end of the bed.
